Highway Options
The Columbia River Crossing project is studying several options to
improve travel safety, traffic operations and freight mobility on Interstate
5 and its interchanges.
The highway options under analysis will increase safety by improving or
modifying interchanges and the Interstate to meet current highway design
standards. These proposed changes will address the bottleneck created by
current traffic conditions on the I-5 Bridge, increasing the vehicle and
freight throughput and decrease congestion.
