Trimet listed SUVs(Personal Trucks) as 8,150, yet the national average is 4,008 (6,894, driver only) on Table 2.10 . Also see Calculating BTU/passenger mile
Normally electrical transport energy calcualtions include the power plant losses (due to burning fuel) of about 2/3 of the total energy, so one should multiply Trimet's light rail number by three to get a comparable result. Of course this applies only to that portion of the energy that comes from burning fuel.
