What is RSS?
RSS is a web technology used for providing data to special programs, including the
latest versions of common web browsers such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 and
Mozilla's FireFox 2.0. The RSS data, called a feed, provides data in a structured
format which these programs understand.
Common uses for RSS include keeping users up to date on the latest news items on
a site, as well as providing calendar entries for past or upcoming events.
